A sprocket is a toothed rotating mechanical wheel that engages with rollers or conveyor chains to facilitate movement in various applications and equipment. When the sprocket rotates around the central axis, specially designed teeth mesh with the gap in the chain to firmly secure the chain, regardless of whether the chain is in a dirty or greasy environment. Although they may be similar to gears, sprockets are only designed to work with the drive chain, not other sprockets or gears.
We stock a full range of ANSI single-strand 304 stainless steel sprockets, including plate and B-type hubs. We keep these on the shelf as standard stock holes. However, due to the rapid response of our internal industrial machine shop, we can provide dead spots for sprockets. Generally, our sprockets are made of Grade 304 stainless steel, but Grade 316 and other grades are available upon request.
