What is a pneumatic actuator

Selection of executing agency
When selecting an actuator, a safety value should be added to the specified valve torque, such as a 25% safety value for steam or non-lubricating liquid media, three safety values for non-lubricating paste or liquid media, 40% safety value for non-lubricating dry gas media, and 60% safety value for non-lubricating particles or powders transmitted through gas; 20% safety value for clean and low friction lubricating media (the above are the theoretical safety values recommended by our company for reference only)
Example of selecting a DR double-acting actuator
When controlling the ball valve, the torque is 200NM, the supply pressure is a bar, and the medium is non-lubricating steam. Considering safety factors, a 25% safety value equal to 250NM should be added. You can add a supply pressure of bar to the double-acting output torque table, then search for equivalent approximate torque data in the vertical line, select 306 8NM, and then search left for the model in the line, and choose AT125DR. (Figure 1)
Example of selecting SC single-acting actuator
When controlling the butterfly valve, the torque is 100NM, and the supply pressure of the non-lubricating dry gas medium is 4 bar. Considering safety factors, you should add a 40% safety value equal to 140NM. Search for a torque of approximately 142NM in the spring reset terminal of the single action output torque table, and then find the terminal torque of 156NM to the left in this row (for a supply pressure of 4 bar). You must be the relative balance between the supply pressure torque and the spring reset torque; Then, search to the left for the model and number of springs online, and select AT 140SC and eight springs. (Figures 2 and 3)
