The chain sprocket is a component of the conveyor system. It is a critical part of any production facility that handles heavy items and has the ability to move them through an assembly line or warehousing process at peak efficiency.

A sprocket has a number of different specifications depending on the manufacturer. It can have a hub style, a type of hub (QD, QF, BP or SP), and it can have teeth that have been hardened from being heat treated.

Special Pin Coatings and Surface Treatment

The stainless steel sprockets and chains that Tsubaki offers are made with a special surface coating on the pins that do not lower the strength of the pins, but rather protects against pitting corrosion. This is beneficial when the chain is being used in coastal areas or other environments where corrosion tends to be more common.

In addition, some of the stainless steel chains we offer have other coating specifications to help them handle the environment better. These include coating series with enhanced rust prevention and other environmental-resistant drive chains that are made from noise type, engineering plastic and other special materials.
