What is a hydraulic cylinder?

4. Cylinder Head and End Cap: The cylinder head and end cap are attached to the ends of the cylinder barrel, sealing the cylinder and holding the piston rod in place. They also provide mounting points for the hydraulic cylinder.

5. Seals: Sealing elements, such as O-rings or lip seals, are used throughout the hydraulic cylinder to prevent fluid leakage and maintain pressure between the chambers.

When hydraulic fluid is supplied to one hydraulic cylinder chamber, it creates pressure, causing the piston to move. This piston movement generates linear force and motion, transmitted through the piston rod to perform work on the load or machinery being operated.
