Simple and reliable structure: encoderless vector control can achieve smooth stepless speed regulation from 0 to 1.5 times the rated speed, and can achieve unlimited start and stop.
High protection level: IP55 protection level eliminates the disadvantage of permanent magnets of motors with lower protection levels absorbing iron dust and blocking the air gap.
Strong anti-demagnetization ability: Adopting internal magnetic steel structure and designing a higher maximum demagnetization working point.
High power density and small size: The permanent magnet magnetic field of the motor rotor and the rotating magnetic field of the stator run synchronously without slip loss. The stator winding does not need to absorb reactive current from the power grid, which greatly reduces motor loss and temperature rise. Under the same power and torque, the motor mass and volume can be reduced by 70%, and the frame size or center height can be reduced by 1~2 levels.
Ultra-High Efficiency Operation: This motor meets the Class 1 energy efficiency standard specified in GB/30253-2024, "Energy Efficiency Limits and Efficiency Grades for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors," and exceeds the IE4 efficiency standard (stray losses are calculated using the recommended values of the 112B method). IE5 or higher efficiency standards can be provided upon request. The motor also delivers exceptional efficiency across the entire speed and power range.

Stator and Rotating Magnetic Field:
The stator of a synchronous motor consists of a three-phase winding connected to an AC power supply. When three-phase AC current flows through these windings, it produces a rotating magnetic field (RMF) that rotates at a synchronous speed.
Rotor and Magnetic Field:
The rotor is equipped with either permanent magnets (as in rare earth permanent magnet synchronous motors) or electromagnets powered by a DC source (via slip rings or a brushless exciter). These create a constant magnetic field in the rotor.
In permanent magnet synchronous motors, rare earth materials like neodymium or samarium-cobalt provide a strong, fixed magnetic field without external excitation.
Magnetic Locking:
The rotor's magnetic field aligns with the stator's RMF, and the two fields "lock" magnetically due to the attraction between opposite poles. This causes the rotor to rotate at the same speed as the RMF, ensuring synchronous operation.
Unlike asynchronous motors, there is no slip; the rotor speed exactly matches the synchronous speed.
Starting Mechanism:
Synchronous motors are not self-starting because the rotor's inertia prevents it from instantly locking with the fast-moving RMF at startup. To start, one of the following methods is used:
Auxiliary Starting: A damper winding (similar to a squirrel cage) on the rotor induces currents to produce torque, allowing the motor to start as an induction motor until it approaches synchronous speed.
External Drive: A separate motor or variable frequency drive (VFD) gradually brings the rotor to synchronous speed.
VFD Control: Modern synchronous motors often use a VFD to adjust the frequency, enabling smooth startup and precise speed control.
Operation and Torque Production:
Once synchronized, the rotor maintains a constant angular relationship with the RMF, producing steady torque. The torque depends on the magnetic field strength and the angle (load angle) between the stator and rotor fields.
The motor maintains constant speed regardless of load, provided the load does not exceed the maximum torque capacity, which could cause the rotor to lose synchronism (pull-out).
Control and Efficiency:
Synchronous motors, especially those with permanent magnets, offer high efficiency due to minimal rotor losses (no current in permanent magnet rotors) and precise control via power electronics for speed and torque.
